Staff-Planning and Time & Attendance Systems

Time and attendance (T&A) systems are used by companies of all sizes to record working hours of employees primarily in order to pay their wages. Some companies have a requirement to record the number of hours spent on specific tasks in order to cost jobs accurately. This is referred to as job costing. Other companies may use T&A systems to manage FlexiTime working.

A time & attendance system enables an employer to have full control of all employees working hours right at an operators fingertips. It is also invaluable for ensuring compliance with labour regulations regarding proof of attendance.

Two types of systems are available. 

Standalone Systems, which require their own dedicated field hardware such as clocking points or readers.

Fully Integrated Systems, which share data and hardware with Access Control systems.  With these systems personal data need only be entered once and then is replicated within each system. Additionally, they share transactions from the buildings card access readers.  When a person presents their credential to a reader, to gain access to a building or an area, that transaction is recorded on the access control database and subsequently sent to the T & A system as a clocking. 

Advanced modern day systems are generally integrated with Access Control system therefore reducing the need to duplicate personal data
